Removing Catalytic Converters

Removing Catalytic Converters

The catalytic converter is regarded as the most profitable part of an end-of-life vehicle. This course ensures delegates are familiar with the precautions, hazards, methods and tooling for cutting and removing catalytic converters from vehicle exhaust systems and that they can visually identify the components and location of the catalytic converter, demonstrating the required technical knowledge and skills to safely use the required machinery.

The Weber Hydraulik Catalytic Cutter (Cat Cutter) has been specially optimised for the task of removing Catalytic Converters, however the principles taught in this course can be applied to any similar equipment designed to carry out such a task. The additional Catalytic Converter Catchment Tray (Cat Catcher) enables easy transport of the cutter and aggregate in order to prevent manual handling injuries to operators.
